About us
About the Foundation
The Fondation André Nodem-Yonshi Nyù Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2022 by Eric Keunne, a distinguished education professional in Canada, along with a dedicated group of biological and non-biological children of the late André Nodem, and advocates in the education and health community in Cameroon. We partner with philanthropists and education and health constituencies within Cameroon and internationally to improve the well-being of Cameroonian people, particularly in Bametim-Mbouda (Bamboutos Division, West Region) and Nkambé (Donga Mantung Division, North West Region), and across Cameroon in general.
The foundation has initiated several programs designed to support education and health, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our focus includes:
1. Quality Education (SDG 4): Implementing educational programs to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
2. Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3): Enhancing healthcare services and promoting well-being for all ages.
3. Gender Equality (SDG 5): Promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls through our initiatives.
4. Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10): Working towards reducing inequalities within and among communities.
The foundation plans to carry out numerous projects annually in Nkambé and Bametim-Mbouda to impact lives through education and health support. These efforts also aim to promote peace and unity between anglophones and francophones in these communities. By integrating the SDGs into our projects, we strive to create sustainable and lasting positive change.
